The bridge is located on the rail line between Shanghai and Nanjing in Jiangsu
province. Considerable start 2006 and it was completed in 2010 and opened in
June 30-2011. The total cost of the
project was 8.5 billion dollars.
The construction of the bridge took 4 years to be completed with a
workforce consisting nearly 10,000 people. The main purpose of the bridge is to
solve the railway traffic in the area.
